2016 NFL Re-draft: Prescott, Wentz, Bosa battle for top spot

  1. Bengals – William Jackson III

Injuries have derailed the cornerback recently, but he was a solid draft pick by Cincy on what, at the time, was a roster with few holes coming off a playoff appearance. (Original pick: William Jackson).

  1. Steelers – Javon Hargrave

Hargrave was taken by the Steelers a couple of rounds later but jumps up to round 1 in their re-draft. Artie Burns was the pick here in reality and whilst Burns has had bright spots in his career, he has never played to the consistent level of a first round pick. (Original pick: Artie Burns).

  1. Broncos – Jared Goff

Goff’s fall is finally ended. We are still not sure whether he should ever have been a first rounder, but he is an All-Universe player in comparison to monumental bust Paxton Lynch. (Original pick: Paxton Lynch).

  1. Packers – Kenny Clark

Clever organisations usually make clever picks. A Green Bay do-over is not needed as Kenny Clark has been a key cog and Pro-Bowler during his time in Titletown so far. (Original pick: Kenny Clark).

  1. 49ers – Tyler Boyd

San Francisco addressed their O-line with this pick and took Joshua Garnett but were crying out for playmakers at the time on a roster suffering from a dearth of offensive talent. Boyd is the fourth receiver off the board in what was a weak, but top-heavy draft class. (Original pick: Joshua Garnett).

  1. Cardinals – Matt Ioannidis

Robert Nkemdiche was a first round bust, taken due to his athletic profile. In this scenario, the Cardinals get a pass rusher who has been a solid and stable presence for the Redskins ever since her was drafted. (Original pick: Robert Nkemdiche).

  1. Panthers – Sheldon Rankins

A fall to the back end of the first frame sees Rankins drafted instead of Vernon Butler. A like-for-like upgrade. (Original pick: Vernon Butler).

  1. Seahawks – Matt Judon

Judon was a steal for Baltimore in round 5 but goes to Seattle here as a replacement for Bruce Irvin who left that off season and has never truly been replaced. (Original pick: Germain Ifedi).

Just missed out on Round 1: DT Jarran Reed, LB Joe Schobert, WR Will Fuller, CB Kendall Fuller, G Joe Thuney, CB James Bradberry, LB Jaylon Smith
