Re-drafting the 2018 NBA Draft

8th pick: Devonte’ Graham

A fringe contender for Most Improved Player, Devonte’ Graham has leapt up this draft. He was originally taken 34th overall by the Atlanta Hawks before being traded to the Charlotte Hornets.

Charlotte’s draft record in recent times is an ugly one. Graham, having scored over 18 per game with 7.5 assists, looks to be a success story on the Hornets, and has caused them an uncomfortable dilemma with free agent acquisition Terry Rozier.

There’s a case to be made for Graham being picked ahead of Sexton here. Graham needs to prove it in 2020/21.
