Re-drafting the 2012 NBA Draft

Re-Draft Pick #11: – Evan Fournier – Portland Trail Blazers

Standing at 6’7, Fournier, similar to a lot of other players in this draft class, possesses the ability to play both the shooting guard and small forward spot – maybe even power forward if he was in Houston. Averaging 14.1PPG for his career, Fournier has been somewhat overlooked, mainly due to playing for the incredibly ‘meh’ Orlando Magic.

In terms of fit, Portland would be stocking up on wings in this scenario – not a bad idea in the lead up to the age when 3 and D guys would become so valuable. There wasn’t a stellar big man on the board at this point and for Portland – this is mainly a case of drafting the best player available.
