Re-drafting the 2012 NBA Draft

Re-Draft Pick #5: Damian Lillard – Sacramento Kings

As in real life, the Kings get lucky and Damian Lillard falls to them at pick number 5. However, unlike in real life, the Kings make the correct decision and select the absolute dynamite point guard out of Weber State instead of the flop Thomas Robinson.

Lillard is the type of talent that could very well have gone #2 overall in this re-draft, but due to teams drafting for need, the Kings get lucky and Lillard falls to 5.

One of the best point guards in the league today, Lillard has been averaging 26.6PPG since 2015. Consistently in the MVP conversation, Lillard has produced many memorable moments on the court to go along with his impressive career stats. The highlight of which being the iconic wave goodbye to OKC after sinking the series-clincher from way downtown in the 2019 play-offs.
