Strange things happen in the NBA. Kenneth Faried being unable to find a team and being released from his contract with the Zhenjiang Lions is one of them. Faried, if available, would surely be able to get rotation minutes on the majority of the remaining 22 teams.
Faried is a smallball centre in the 2020 NBA, and an undersized one at that. His limitations are clear, but teams should see value in the relentless hustle he provides at both ends. He gave the Houston Rockets are boost last season, setting hard screens and rolling with vigour on his way to an effective field goal percentage above 60%.
A reunion with the Rockets would make sense. Maybe Dallas or Utah could be interested, too.
