Miami Heat have started the season 2-0, despite Jimmy Butler’s absence. Beating the Memphis Grizzlies was one thing, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum on Saturday night was something else. The Bucks forced overtime thanks to a Giannis Antetokounmpo field goal at the buzzer, but Miami snatched the win with Antetokounmpo fouling out in OT.

Win over Jazz further proof the Lakers must play Anthony Davis at centre

Los Angeles Lakers made light work of the Utah Jazz on Friday night. LeBron James was aggressive, Anthony Davis effective, the defence was superb. Troy Daniels proved perimeter shooting. It was a welcome positive evening at Staples Center after a disappointing opening night loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Westbrook provides Rockets with positives in disappointing loss to Bucks

Houston Rockets’ new era ended in a home defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. The first regular season game with James Harden and Russell Westbrook starting together (in a Rockets uniform, that is) saw a duel between the last three NBA MVPs, but it was the 2018/19 winner, Giannis Antetokounmpo who reigned supreme. Antetokounmpo finished with a triple-double.
