Joe and Sam discuss the latest free agency moves and ponder the futures of some non-tendered players.
Kevin Pillar, Domingo Santana and Yolmer Sanchez were just three of the high profile hitters not given contracts as they headed into arbitration. Rumours have quickly started of potential landing spots for those three along with plenty of other new free agents.
Elsewhere, the San Diego Padres landed lefty relief star Drew Pomeranz on a four-year pact and the Cincinnati Reds looked to add a power bat to their middle infield in the form of third baseman turned second baseman Mike Moustakas.
The rumour mill is moving quicker than it was when the previous podcast was recorded, too. Madison Bumgarner has been linked with several teams, including the Twins and Reds, while Gerrit Cole and Stephen Strasburg are reportedly meeting with the New York Yankees and others in the coming days. MVP candidate Anthony Rendon is attracting plenty of interest, including from the Texas Rangers.
