Joe and Sam preview the National League West, starting with the rebuilding Diamondbacks and moving onto the division favourite Dodgers and competitive Rockies.

The Dodgers went to the World Series again in 2018, emphatically losing to the Boston Red Sox. Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp and Alex Wood departed through trade, while A.J. Pollock arrived in free agency as the Dodgers look to win their seventh consecutive division crown.

Arizona traded away Paul Goldschmidt this winter and lost Patrick Corbin and Pollock in free agency. The Dbacks want to remain competitive but could struggle in 2019.

San Diego Padres made one of the big offseason moves, landing Manny Machado on a ten-year deal. With Fernando Tatis and an array of other prospects to come, they will fancy their chances of being competitive this season.

San Francisco Giants have changed direction this offseason, hiring Farhan Zaidi as their new general manager. The Bay Area franchise are an unknown quantity with bounce backs possible from veterans.
