Tampa Bay Lightning lead the Eastern Conference with 110 points, seventeen clear of the Bruins and 21 clear of the Toronto Maple Leafs in third.

Just four points separate the top three sides in the Metropolitan Division with the Capitals top by just two points from the Islanders with the Penguins in third four behind.

The race for the two Wild Card spots is currently led by the Hurricanes with 83 points and The Blue Jackets on 81.

In the Western Conference Central Division, the Winnipeg Jets top the table with 84 points, one ahead of the Predators and five clear of the Blues.

In the Pacific Division, the San Jose Sharks are on the verge of qualifying for the playoffs, as they sit at the top of the pile with 94 points, one ahead of the Flames with the Golden Knights a further 13 points behind.

       

Dallas Stars currently hold one of the two wild card playoff slots with the Arizona Coyotes two points behind.

Evgeni Malkin picked up his 1,000th NHL point as the Pittsburgh Penguins ended the Washington Capital’s winning streak at seven after a 5-3 victory on Tuesday. Malkin, who had two assists on the night, has now scored 391 goals alongside 609 assists in 848 games.

Boone Jenner had his first NHL hat trick when the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Boston Bruins 7-4 on Tuesday. Jenner, who missed out on Monday’s loss to the New York Islanders on Monday because of illness, scored his third goal of the game into an empty net with almost 45 seconds remaining to claim his 25th goal of the season.

The Calgary Flames handed the New Jersey Devils their seventh straight loss with a 9-4 win at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday. It was a special evening for Johnny Gaudreau who picked up six points on the night with 3+3. Gaudreau had an NHL career high six points and was also his fifth hat trick in the NHL.

Carey Price completed his 315th win as the Montreal Canadiens beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-1 at Bell Centre on Tuesday. Price, who made 20 saves, is currently 315-221-67 in 12 seasons in the NHL.
The all-conquering Tampa Bay Lightning became the seventh team in NHL history with 110 points through 70 games when they defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-2 at Scotiabank Arena on Monday.

       

Tyler Johnson and Cedric Paquette bagged a brace for the Lightning who have now won four of their past five games. Tampa Bay have also clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup playoffs, and currently lead the Boston Bruins by 17 points for the race to be crowned champions of the Eastern Conference.

Brendan Perlini completed his first NHL hat trick for the Chicago Blackhawks in their 7-1 thrashing of the Arizona Coyotes at United Centre on Monday. Perlini completed his hat-trick when he scored with only four seconds left in the third period.

Boston Bruins 19 game points streak was finally ended on Sunday when the Pittsburgh Penguins handed out a 4-2 win at PPG Paints Area.

David Krejci scored for a fourth straight game, with Jaroslav Halak making 33 saves for the Bruins.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek has been suspended for two games without pay for interference against the New York Islanders.

Another player in trouble is Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel, who has been suspended for two games without pay for an illegal check to the head of Colorado Avalanche forward Carl Soderberg.
