We are getting ever closer to the NFL trade deadline and that means that the Allen Robinson trade rumors 2021 are picking up steam.

The Bears have lost two in a row and a promising looking season at 3-2 looks much less like a potential playoff year now they sit at 3-4. This means they may be looking to shop some of their more valuable assets and the Robinson trade news has certainly spiked over the last few days.

Allen Robinson trade rumors 2021

It is easy to see why teams would be interested in Robinson despite him being six years removed from his best season. That was as a second-year player in 2014 when he was selected to the Pro Bowl after putting up 1,400 yards receiving and scoring 14 touchdowns.

It hasn’t worked out as either party would have hoped in Chicago, however, and Robinson would benefit from a trade to a team with better quarterback play.

Here is a look at five teams who should be interested in the Allen Robinson trade rumors 2021.

Saints

No Drew Brees and no Michael Thomas has made the Saints look a shadow of their former selves.

This is a team that needs an upgrade at the wide receiver position. New Orleans has a strong-armed quarterback in Jameis Winston and giving him a pass catcher of the quality of Robinson would make the Saints a matchup nightmare when Thomas is also back in the lineup.

The Saints are near the bottom of the league in passing yards because of wide receiver issues and adding Robinson would make them a much more difficult out in the NFC.

Patriots

It would be a very Patriot thing to do to add a wide receiver like Robinson to the roster.

Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has been better than expected, but none of the pass catchers on the New England team fill the opposition with fear.

Adding Robinson to the mix along with the likes of Kendrick Bourne and Jacobi Meyers would give Jones a go-to target he can trust. If Bill Belichick wants Robinson, he will find a way to make it work.

Ravens

Baltimore would be an interesting destination for Robinson if NFL deadline rumors are to be believed.

In Lamar Jackson, they have one of the best quarterbacks in the league and they have overcome their injury issues at running back better than expected. Marquise Brown has looked good as the number one wide receiver, but the Ravens are relying on guys like the injury-prone Sammy Watkins as other targets.

A-Rob would immediately upgrade this unit to Super Bowl caliber.

Raiders

The Raiders are in a competitive division with the Chiefs (if their defense improves) ready to pounce on any Las Vegas slip-up.

Henry Ruggs III has been outstanding as a second-year player, but those Allen Robinson trade rumors 2021 could easily have Robinson lining up in the same offense.

That would give quarterback Derek Carr two outstanding threats in terms of size and ability to go up and make a difficult catch. The Raiders twice a year see a Chiefs’ team with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce creating dual matchup problems and Ruggs and Robinson could easily be their version of that.

Washington Football Team

This may be seen as a lateral step for Robinson this season. The Washington Football Team is unlikely to make the playoffs due to quarterback issues of their own.

An injury to Ryan Fitzpatrick has seen Taylor Heinicke take over and outside of the great Terry McLaurin there isn’t any other outside threat. Robinson would be a great addition for the team as they build towards contending in the future in a division that is as winnable as any in the league.
