Some of the best shooters in 2022 NBA Draft are just a treat to watch. Their high arc, quick release, and limitless range will grant them a spot on a roster. But it’ll be up to them to prove that they can bring more to the table than just sharpshooting.

Today’s game is all about spacing. Even the best defenders in the Draft need to be reliable three-point shooters if they don’t want to be outdated and out of the league in no time, as most teams are leaning towards the perimeter more and more these days.
With that in mind, we’ve seen several players make it to the league on of their sharpshooting skills alone. Needless to say, it’ll take more than that for them to stay relevant and get consistent minutes, but it seems like that’s become the most important skill a role player could have right now.
Some of the best shooters in the 2022 NBA Draft seem to know that very well. That’s why today, we’re going to let you know all there is to know about some of the nation’s finest snipers:
Max Abmas
Max Abmas decided to go back to college despite an impressive performance in the NBA combine last season, and that might’ve been the right call.
He’s a streaky scorer who can get hot in the blink of an eye and provide instant offense off the bench. He’s got unlimited range but he needs to do a better job of knocking down his shots from inside the paint. Though, he did shoot 41.5% from deep last season.
Kaiden Rice
Kaiden Rice is out there for one thing and one thing only: Shooting threes. Standing at 6’7”, he’s taller than most shooting guards and can shoot over nearly everybody in the league.
He can spot up, catch and shoot, shoot off the dribble, and knock down shots from everywhere beyond the arc. He’s a 40% shooter from three-point range at nine attempts per game. Rice is not exactly young and doesn’t do many things other than shooting triples, but he’s surely elite at what he does.
Kellan Grady
Even at his age, Kellan Grady should get the call during Draft night. He’s one of the best shooters in the 2022 NBA Draft at an absurd 44.2% from three-point land and was the only reliable source of spacing for this version of the Kentucky Wildcats.
He’s got a long track record of being an efficient scorer from all three levels and a volume shooter from beyond the arc. Still, he’ll be 25 years old by the start of the upcoming season.
Nate Laszewski
Nate Laszewski is going to make a lucky team very happy next season. He’s a 44.4% sharpshooter who can actually play in the restricted area and endure a beating offensively as well.
He can play both forward spots and even some small-ball center at 6’10”. He can provide elite spacing in all-shooting lineups and is a solid rebounder, especially on the offensive end. Laszewski’s upside is limited but he’s ready to contribute right away.
Alfonso Plummer
Alfonso Plummer is a synonym for efficiency. Plummer is one of the NBA Draft best shooters at 40% from beyond the arc last season and flirted with 50/40/90 shooting for most of his college career.
He’s put up Steph Curry-level shooting splits on multiple attempts per game. Plummer is a three-point shooting specialist who may be better off coming off the bench. He’s just 6’1” and will have a tough time guarding the perimeter.
Sasha Stefanovic
Sasha Stefanovic’s presence allowed Jaden Ivey to wreak havoc out of the backcourt, as you just couldn’t leave him open. He’s a three-point specialist (40.9% from beyond the arc) and a volume shooter (more than 150 three-pointers attempted in back-to-back seasons).
Stefanovic may not draw a lot of attention once he puts the ball on the floor, though, as he rarely took any shots inside of the paint. But he’s a solid and willing passer and a guy who could light it up from deep on any given night.
Caleb Houstan
Albeit not precisely efficient (he was a 35% shooter from beyond the arc), Caleb Houstan has steadily and rapidly improved as a shooter, so scouts are confident in that trend continuing in the pros.
He closed out the season taking nearly five three-pointers per game and knocking down nearly 37% of them after struggling early in the season. He shot 55% from the floor in the final nine games of the season despite being doubled-teamed often.
Gabe Brown
Gabe Brown went from being an NBA Draft sleeper to being on every mock in little-to-no time. He’s not exactly young so he’ll fall to the late-first or second-round pick but he’s just too good of a shooter not to make the list.
He’s an elite floor-spacer and a 38% shooter from beyond the arc for his career. He’s long, strong, and can hold his own on the defensive end even against taller players. He can be a Danny Green kind of 3-and-D specialist at the next level.
Jabari Smith
There are many, many things that make Jabari Smith a legit candidate to be the first-overall pick in the NBA Draft, and this is one of them. Besides being an elite defender, he’s also one of the best shooters in 2022 NBA Draft.
He shot 40.2% from three-point range and proved to be efficient in multiple spots and situations. He’s a huge threat in pick-and-pop situations and his handles and quick release made him excel even off the dribble, which is impressive for a power forward.
Hyunjung Lee
Hyunjung Lee might well be the best among the NBA Draft best shooters. He’s coming off putting up absurd 61.3/44.2/90.0 shooting splits while attempting 120 three-pointers in 2020 and didn’t miss a beat last season as a 37.% three-point shooter on even more attempts.
He’s not a good defender and will struggle to stay in front of his rivals at the NBA level but he’s just too good of a shooter.
