The Cam Reddish trade rumors in 2022 are interesting to keep an eye on. The promising 22-year-old has been having his best season as a professional basketball player, which might be a reason why the Hawks are shopping him.

Let’s take a look at the Reddish trade news and figure out potential suitors.

Cam Reddish trade rumors 2022

Atlanta has been listening on offers for Reddish since last year. The Duke graduate has shown flashes of what he could become, which makes him a good fit for many teams.

This season he’s posting his best numbers yet, averaging 11.9 points, 2.5 boards, and 1.1 assists. This could be a problem for the Hawks considering he’s in the last year of his rookie contract.

The Cam Reddish contract is eligible for a rookie-scale extension by the end of this year and Atlanta aren’t really keen on paying him.

In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising if Atlanta ship another one of their wings with him. They’re already crowded in the backcourt with Danilo Gallinari, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kevin Huerter, and Jalen Johnson.

Many teams have shown interest in Reddish over the past year. He’s a young two-way player who has a lot of upside, and Atlanta is only asking for a 1st round-pick in return.

While not every team can offer them what they’re asking for, there are some interesting packages out there.

Let’s analyze some of the teams who could be involved in the Cam Reddish trade rumors in 2022.

Thunder

The Thunder should stand out among the rest here considering the collection of 1st round-picks in their arsenal.

They should be front-runners to snatch Reddish before the trade deadline. He’s a perfect fit for a rebuilding team and is affordable considering the assets they hold.

Kings

The Kings could also interest Atlanta with Marvin Bagley III, Tristan Thompson, and maybe a 2nd round pick.

By trading Reddish and Gallinari, the Hawks would free up the wings and add two big men who can immediately make an impact alongside John Collins.

Meanwhile, Reddish could develop his game alongside Harrison Barnes and potentially be the heir to his Kings’ throne.

Wolves

The Wolves are another team that needs a spark despite having a young, resilient backcourt.

Minnesota has been inconsistent for a while now. Adding Reddish could finally replace the three-and-D gap left by Andrew Wiggins. If they could package a deal around Jaden McDaniels, Atlanta might listen.

Blazers

Portland has been underwhelming this year, to say the least. Adding a young spark plug like Reddish at the three next to Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, could provide them with a boost they desperately need.

On the other hand, offering Larry Nance. Jr and Cody Zeller to Atlanta could work. Both players would be good fits next to Clint Capela with their solid low-post games and tremendous energy.

Bucks

Reddish for Donte DiVincenzo makes sense for both teams. Milwaukee could use another versatile swingman who can defend multiple positions, and Reddish can do that while still providing firepower on offense.

Meanwhile, Atlanta is in desperate need to bolster its defense, and DiVincenzo is an elite defender who can focus primarily on that. If Atlanta doesn’t insist on a 1st round pick, this trade could work.
