Kareem Hunt trade rumors are starting to appear in the build up to the 2022 deadline.
The Cleveland Browns rejected Kareem Hunt‘s trade request at the start of the season, but his touches have decreased over the past couple of weeks, and he’ll be a free agent by the end of the season.

The Browns already have an elite back in Nick Chubb, and they should start throwing the ball way more often once Deshaun Watson is back on the field.
With that in mind, moving Hunt would be a no-brainer at this point, even if all they get is a late-round draft pick. So, where will he end up? Let’s break it down.
5. Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles have to be in the mix, even if there’s not an obvious need for an upgrade at the RB position. Why? Well, because they’ve already shown that they’ll go after the best players available at the 2022 NFL trade deadline with that Roquan Smith trade.
Also, Howie Roseman reportedly reached out to the New Orleans Saints inquiring about Alvin Kamara, so they may not be satisfied with their RB committee, as successful as it’s proven to be. The Eagles are in win-now mode, so we wouldn’t be shocked to see them make a run at Hunt.
4. Broncos
Most insiders believe the Broncos will find themselves as sellers ahead of this year’s trade deadline. However, they could still salvage their season with a win in London over the Jacksonville Jaguars. If that’s the case, then Hunt could be an obvious target.
The Broncos lost starting RB Javonte Williams for the season, and Nathaniel Hackett wants nothing to do with Melvin Gordon despite his efficiency this season. So, if they think they can make a late postseason run, they’ll need to bolster their running game.
3. Buccaneers
Leonard Fournette has been one of the biggest reasons why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have failed to establish a consistent offense. Their O-Line hasn’t been as good as it used to be, but Fournette is flat-out inefficient, yet he doesn’t have any competition for reps.
That’s where Kareem Hunt could prove to be extremely valuable. He’s an elite back even on limited minutes and could finally give them a change-of-pace rusher who can actually break tackles and pile up yards after the catch. The Bucs need a spark, and they need it now.
2. Rams
The Los Angeles Rams had big hopes for Cam Akers before the start of the season. Those hopes are a thing of the past, as he’s not likely to play another snap for the organization after some reported character issues. So, rookie Kyren Williams could make his debut after a stint on the IR and have a big role.
But if the Rams don’t want to spare any chances, they’ll need to add a better supporting cast behind Darrell Henderson. They’ve proven that they won’t hesitate to be aggressive and give up as many picks as needed to get the job done. So, don’t count them out in this race.
1. Bills
Most Kareem Hunt trade rumors have the Buffalo Bills as the likeliest and most logical destination, and it would be hard to argue with that. Josh Allen is the leading MVP candidate, and their passing game is borderline unstoppable, but they have failed to establish the running game again.
Neither Devin Singletary nor Zack Moss are starting-caliber running backs in the National Football League. The Bills are the biggest powerhouse in the AFC, and adding an elite back like Hunt would only make their offense even scarier. That’s the only thing holding them back right now.
