It’s that time of the year: NFL trade deadline predictions 2021 are flooding the web as the November 2 trade deadline is just around the corner.

As it usually happens, the NFL season has been full of surprises. Teams that were supposed to contend are struggling, while teams that weren’t supposed to be good at all have played spoiler. That’s just the beauty of this great league.

But, with the trade deadline zooming in, NFL trade predictions emerge left, right and center.

And, as it happens year after year, no player seems to be safe from packing his bags and relocating. So, who’s going to make the next big move? Let’s break it down.

3. Dolphins trade for Deshaun Watson

Most NFL trade predictions talked about Deshaun Watson during the offseason. However, his legal situation forced several teams to pull the breaks on any move for him, as his availability is still up in the air and he’s not even likely to play at all this season.

But, judging by the way Tua Tagovailoa has performed and how little confidence the Miami Dolphins seem to have in him going forward, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Dolphins risk it all to trade for Deshaun Watson even if he’s not yet eligible to play.

Tagovailoa is young and with plenty of upside so the Houston Texans would be more than delighted to get him in return, and the Dolphins have more than enough draft capital to sweeten the deal and beat other quarterback-needy teams.

2. Chiefs revamp their defense with Marcus Maye

Most NFL trade predictions in 2021 have the Kansas City Chiefs trying to improve their defense and for very good reasons. They’ve been the worst defensive unit in the league this season and continue to get exposed week in and week out, and that’s not going to cut it.

The Chiefs risk not even making the playoffs the way they’ve performed thus far. Patrick Mahomes is trying to do way too much to try and keep his team in the game, mostly because his defense can’t seem to get a stop. That might as well change by trading for Marcus Maye.

Joe Douglas needs as many assets as he can get, which means giving Marcus Maye the same treatment he gave Jamal Adams. The Chiefs don’t have high draft picks but could be desperate enough to put together a strong package for the talented safety.

1. Packers go all in on Odell Beckham Jr

This could be Aaron Rodgers‘ final season at Lambeau Field and Jordan Love is nowhere near ready to take over. That means it is now or never for the Green Bay Packers, so they need to give Rodgers more weapons to either convince him of staying or making the most of his final year.

Odell Beckham Jr has never been on the same page with Baker Mayfield. More than that, Kevin Stefanski doesn’t even seem to trust him anymore as he refuses to get him more involved in the offense. But, injuries aside, OBJ is one of the most gifted and athletic players in the league.

The Packers have dominated their rivals since being embarrassed in Week 1 and that’s with a subpar receiving corps besides Davante Adams.

They’re a legit Super Bowl contender but need another wideout threat to be even better. Odell Beckham Jr’s trade value might be at an all-time low right now, and we expect him to headline the trade deadline news. Hopefully, it’ll be the Packers the ones to trust him and pair him with one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the league.
