Today we are going to take a look at Minnesota Viking trade rumors for 2021. The Vikings have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. They are tied for 3rd in sacks allowed with 6, Kirk Cousins has the 7th best QBR in the NFL thus far, and they lead the league in sacks.

How is this team 3-3 going into their bye week? Let’s look at where this team can improve and how to do it.

Vikings trade rumors 2021

So what are this team’s drawbacks? First off, they have a very average turnover rate. They are 16th in interceptions and tied 4th from last in forced fumbles. While they do have an overall turnover rate of +2, it could be way better. Also, this team is 4th worst in yards per rush allowed with 4.8.

Marcus Maye

One of the hottest commodities in this season’s NFL trade rumors is safety Marcus Maye. Though he is off to a slow start this year (and on a really bad team), Maye had one of the best seasons of any safety in the league last year with 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 88 tackles.

He would be a solid addition to this defense and could help them all over the field with his versatile playstyle.

Marcus Maye is bound to appear in Vikings trade rumors 2021 in the coming days.

Fletcher Cox

This Eagles team should be rebuilding once again soon, and getting rid of an almost 31-year-old tackle right before his decline is the way to do it.

The Eagles could still get a 2nd round pick for Fletcher Cox. On the other hand, the Vikings could get a very good interior lineman and a great leader on defense.

Though Cox already has a ring, if he wants another he isn’t going to get it on his current team. A trade for Fletcher Cox would benefit both parties if done correctly.

Blake Jarwin

A real receiving threat at tight end would put this offense on an elite level. Irv Smith Jr is out for the season. Tyler Conklin is solid, but not the answer. Blake Jarwin is not the best blocker, but this Vikings team doesn’t need more blocking.

Cousins isn’t much of a running threat like all these new-age QBs, so a new weapon could really help this offense alongside Cook, Mattison, Jefferson, and Thielen. Jarwin is signed until 2024, but tight-end duos aren’t unheard of. Jarwin could also mentor a young Smith, as he is only 23 years old.

While I believe the Vikings are just off to a slow start, this team (like any team) could always use some improvement in certain areas.

This team will definitely bounce back, and this 3-3 record is nothing to worry about. As long as they trust Cousins and make some small improvements this team could still win 10-12 games this season. My money is on this Vikings team to make it to the playoffs, and maybe even coming back and winning the division. The Packers have a tough schedule left with the Browns, Cardinals, Ravens, and Rams still left to play. If this team can kick it into gear, they can be a real threat. Vikings fans shouldn’t hit the panic button just yet.
