1st pick: Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum went toe-to-toe with LeBron James as a rookie. His second year, amid an inharmonious locker room, was a bit of a step back for the former third overall pick.
In his third season, however, Tatum went to the All-Star game and enjoyed a run of superstar performances. He began to look like he could be the best player on a championship team.
Tatum was the obvious number one. He’s become a top tier defender, he’s knockdown shooter and has excelled having been given the opportunity to run pick and roll.
The sky is the limit.
