4th pick: De’Aaron Fox
The jet-heeled De’Aaron Fox caught a wave of attention as the Sacramento Kings pushed for a playoff spot last year. It’s been a turbulent season for the Kings, riddled with injuries (including to Fox), but Fox has quietly stepped up his game with a higher effective field goal percentage despite a drop-off in his three-point efficiency.
Few in the NBA can rival Fox’s athleticism, his explosiveness to go coast-to-coast. His ceiling depends on how the Kings build, but he’s injected hope into an organisation that has languished for so long.
Fox was taken fifth back in 2017, behind both Lonzo Ball and Markelle Fultz. He’s top of the point guards this time round.
