NFL Division odds 2022

Given the improvements teams made this offseason, most sports betting sites have determined their favorites to win each of the eight NFL divisions. The NFL Divisional odds 2022 show which teams have the highest chance of winning their respective division.

Here are the best NFL division futures bets in 2022.

All odds taken September 6 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

AFC East: Bills, -230

The Bills have remained the favorites to win the AFC East due to their high-octane offense led by Josh Allen. They have also beefed up their already elite defense with key offseason acquisitions.

Allen is arguably the best quarterback in the division as he already led the Bills to three consecutive playoff appearances. There’s no reason to think that he’s stopping any time soon—making him one of the favorites to win the NFL MVP.

Their offense still looks elite even with the departure of Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders. Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Isaiah McKenzie are a solid receiving core. They also acquired Jamison Crowder to be the primary slot receiver and drafted rookie James Cook to solidify their run game.

Defensively, the Bills added edge-rusher Von Miller and cornerback Kaiir Elam. Miller, who just won the championship with the Rams, is one of the best pass rushers in the league.

On paper, the Bills have no weaknesses on their roster. It’s now up to Allen to utilize all of his weapons this season. Banking on Buffalo to win the AFC East is one of the best NFL division futures bets you can make right now.

AFC North: Bengals, +170

Even with the loss against the Rams in Super Bowl LVI, the Bengals still have a bright future ahead with the amount of talent they have. They are currently behind the Ravens in the NFL division odds 2022 as the second favorites to win the AFC North.

Now entering the 2022 season fully healthy, Joe Burrow will continue his stellar campaign with an improved offensive line. They have added Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, and La’el Collins to solidify their quarterback protection. This will allow Burrow to become more dangerous in the pocket.

Offensively, the Bengals are already solid. They have an elite receiving corps in Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. Expect these trio to improve further, especially Chase, who just won the Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Defensively, Cincinnati beefed up further. They drafted safety Daxton Hill, cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt, and defensive lineman Zachary Carter.

Overall, the Bengals possess many talents that are bound to improve this season. They have also addressed their offensive line, which is their number one weakness last season.

AFC West: Chargers, +240

The NFL Division winner predictions 2022 in the AFC West are tough since all the teams are playoff contenders. The Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, and Raiders have all had fantastic offseasons and have massively upgraded their roster. Amongst the four, however, the Chargers pose the most threat to winning the AFC West.

At the quarterback position, Justin Herbert broke out last season with 5000 passing yards and 38 touchdowns. There’s no reason to think he can’t continue the same amount of production this season with the same receiving corps in Mike Williams and Keenan Allen. Austin Ekeler will continue to lead the backfield and get a lot of touchdowns.

The Chargers also acquired tight end Gerald Everett, who is an improvement over Jared Cook. They also drafted guard Zion Johnson to solidify their offensive line.

But what improved drastically is their defense. The Chargers have acquired edge-rusher Khalil Mack and cornerback J.C. Jackson. The addition of Mack will help Joey Bosa tremendously in the pass-rushing game.

With no major players leaving for free agency and with the acquisition of key players, betting on the Chargers to win the AFC West is a solid decision.

AFC South: Colts, -125

Only two teams are battling for the top spot in the AFC South, the Colts and Titans. Indianapolis has the edge to win the AFC South since they have a major improvement at the quarterback position and acquired key defensive players in the offseason.

The Colts acquired a veteran quarterback in Matt Ryan, who is a major improvement over Carson Wentz. This should give a boost to their receiving corps led by Michael Pittman Jr. They also have one of the league’s best offensive lines which should give Ryan much-needed protection.

Their offense also features the league’s leading rusher in Jonathan Taylor. Taylor was unstoppable last season, rushing for over 1800 yards and scoring 18 touchdowns. Although, the Colts may ease his workload a bit so he can stay healthy for the full season.

Defensively, they signed two-time All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore and Pro Bowl edge-rusher Yannick Ngakoue. This makes their defense improve from good to great.

With all of these improvements offensively and defensively, it’s tough to see the Colts not finishing at the top of the AFC South.

NFC East: Eagles, +145

The winner of the offseason goes to the Eagles. They have massively improved their offense and defense by adding several big names via free agency, draft, and trade. The NFL preseason predictions got Philadelphia as one of the teams who will make a huge leap this season.

Philly acquired A.J. Brown and Zach Pascal to improve their receiving corps alongside DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins. Brown is one of the most athletic receivers in the league when healthy.

Defensively, the Eagles drafted college standouts in Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis. They also signed Haason Reddick and Kyzir White to fortify the front seven. To top it off, Philly has acquired James Bradberry, Anthony Harris, and Jaquiski Tartt to improve their secondary.

With all of these weapons, Hurts is primed to break out this season. He already had 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in his first 20 starts, the first quarterback to ever do so. It’s tough to see him not delivering this season and lead Philly to the top of the NFC East.

NFC North: Packers, -155

Some NFL Division predictions have the Vikings to win the NFC North since the Packers have a lot of uncertainties heading into the season. However, Green Bay is still better defensively and still has Aaron Rodgers under center.

The departure of Davante Adams leaves a huge hole in the receiving department. Their receivers are now composed of Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, Sammy Watkins, and Randall Cobb. Still, this is a good receiving corps.

The Packers may choose to run the ball more often. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are both elite rushers who will split carries in the backfield. Jones can get more targets since he has proven to be more effective when Adams isn’t playing.

Moreover, the Packers have young defensive studs in edge-rusher Rashan Gary, cornerback Jaire Alexander, and defensive tackle Kenny Clark. Their defense is still one of the best in the league.

Even with the departure of key players, it’s tough to see Green Bay give up its crown to Minnesota. The NFL Division odds 2022 still got the Packers winning the NFC North.

NFC West: Rams, +125

The 49ers and Seahawks have a new starting quarterback. Meanwhile, the Cardinals are without DeAndre Hopkins for the first six games of the season. There are a lot of uncertainties about these teams.

This is why the Rams are still the favorites to win their division, as seen from NFL Divisional odds 2022. Offensively, they acquired Allen Robinson to fill the hole left by Odell Beckham Jr. and Robert Woods. The receiving corps is still elite with Kupp, Robinson, and Jefferson as the main group. Matthew Stafford shouldn’t have a problem repeating his solid campaign last season.

Defensively, losing Von Miller shouldn’t be a huge problem since the Rams re-signed early DPOY candidate Aaron Donald and acquired Bobby Wagner in free agency. They also have the rising star in Jalen Ramsey as their secondary.

As you can see, the Rams are still as dangerous as ever. Yes, they lost some key players in free agency but mitigated that with key signings.

NFC South: Buccaneers, -270

There’s no threat apart from the Saints that can overthrow the Buccaneers at the top of the NFC South. New Orleans can come close but there’s still a huge question mark: Can Jameis Winston lead them to win this division?

This is why the Bucs are still poised to win the NFC South with Tom Brady under center. Even with the departure of Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski, Brady has still got his main offensive weapons in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Leonard Fournette. They also acquired Julio Jones and Russell Gage in the offseason.

Tampa Bay also made some moves to bring players in. First, they traded for guard Shaq Mason. Second, they drafted guard Luke Goedeke and tight ends Cade Otton and Ko Kieft. Third, they signed defensive end Akiem Hicks.

As you can see, the Bucs are still one of the best teams in the league. The NFL Division winner predictions 2022 got them winning the NFC South.
