Byron Buxton finished last season with a 5.2 WAR. The Minnesota Twins centre fielder hit .300 in the second half of the season and finished the campaign with 16 homers. He has supreme speed – Statcast note him as the fastest player in MLB – and is one of the best defenders in the game.
Having won a Gold Glove last season and hit for a high average in the second half, Buxton will rate highly in all fielding categories and contact. The Twin will likely have above-average power for a defensive centre fielder, too.
Put all that with his potentially over 99 speed and you have a special card for Diamond Dynasty. His overall will begin anywhere from 78 to 82 and could quickly rise if he continues to hit like he did in July and August.
