A decade of drafts: Re-drafting the 2018 NBA Draft

12th pick: Donte DiVincenzo

The numbers are unspectacular, but players like Donte DiVincenzo are key for a title contending team. That’s exactly what the Milwaukee Bucks are, and DiVincenzo has played his part in their dominance this year, boasting an effective field goal percentage of 54.6% and being a defensive menace.

As a team ascends with mid-first-round picks, they need to hit on players who can help them quickly. Taking DiVincenzo 17th was one such pick. He could play meaningful minutes deep into the playoffs.

There’s value in being an effective player soon after being drafted. That earns DiVincenzo the 12th spot.
